Treat every athlete, coach, referee, and family member with respect. No foul or abusive language, toward anyone, at any time. Support the athletes on the mat without interfering with officials or matches. Follow direction from event staff and referees.
Staff enforce this code in real time, not after the fact. A violation earns a warning. If the behavior continues, the person is removed from the venue. Removal for a conduct violation is final, and no refund is issued for it. Abuse of event staff or referees by a parent, coach, or spectator may result in the disqualification of the associated athlete.
The values jiu-jitsu teaches should be reflected at the tournament that hosts it. Holding everyone to this standard is how we keep the day built around the athlete.
