Every athlete who competes at an LVL event does so under this waiver. The parent or guardian who holds the account accepts it during registration, on the athlete's behalf.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a contact sport. Competing carries inherent risks that cannot be eliminated no matter how carefully an event is run, including sprains, fractures, joint injuries, and concussion. By accepting this waiver, you confirm that you understand these risks and that the athlete's participation is voluntary.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and discharge LVL Grappling Federation, its owners, officers, employees, staff, volunteers, referees, contractors, and agents from any and all claims arising out of or related to the athlete's participation in an LVL event.
You authorize event staff to arrange emergency medical care for the athlete if you cannot be reached in time, and you accept responsibility for any resulting costs.
